Throughout
the year, through my blog, I think I have learned a lot about myself as both a
person and a reader and writer. I have been able to analyze the books I've read
with much more depth knowing that I will have to write about it. I think that
that writing online is different from writing in a notebook just because it
gives other people the opportunity to read your writing whenever they want.
However, I do think that most of the time people aren't always real online even
if it's a subtle or small change, everyone wants others to see the best parts
of them.
The Internet provides a lot of freedom for not only teens but for
everyone. I think that because of this, people are definitely more inclined to
say things online that they would never ever say to someone’s face. In my
opinion, this is because when you say something online, you tend to feel less guilty,
ashamed, or uncomfortable because you aren't face to face with anyone and don't
have to witness the reactions it may cause. This to me can be both good and
bad. I think it can be good in the sense that you may be able to express your
feelings to someone that you wouldn’t otherwise confront. However, I definitely
think it can also be a terrible thing because people may take their feelings to
a new level and not know when to stop which may end up really hurting someone.
I think that in the future, I may want to create another blog on an interest or
hobby of mine but that is undetermined. Overall, I think blogs are a fantastic
way of expressing thoughts, ideas, and emotions and may be very helpful to many
people. I think blogs allow people to say what they might keep to themselves
otherwise.
